Holidays and birthdays always had a special touch of love in the form of baked desserts and custom cakes at the Walker residence. Melanie Walker created everything from cookies, fudge, baked goods, and cakes that filled the house with great scents and comfort.

The real journey began when we made the switch to a plant based diet - many recipes were tested and played around with, all leading to a glorious road of delicious treats that were the highlight of family gatherings.

When Magdelana’s Savories and Sweets opened in Petaluma, California, Melanie had found the passion behind creating baked goods along with her mentor until the closing of the restaurant. With encouragement and blessings from Greta, the torch was passed, and Melanie has since carried on the delicious recipes many have beloved and craved, along with sharing special at home recipes - and Melanie’s Sweets and Treats was born!
